A conservatory should be a space you can enjoy all year round, not one that’s freezing in winter and unbearably hot in summer. Our Eco Roofs are produced by industry leaders Guardian Warm Roofs and provide the perfect solution, replacing outdated glass or polycarbonate roofing with a fully insulated, thermally efficient system. Designed to regulate temperature, an Eco Roof turns your conservatory into a comfortable, usable extension of your home, no matter the season.
Beyond improving comfort, our Eco Roofs also enhance the appearance of your property, blending seamlessly with your home’s existing structure for a modern, stylish look. With increased thermal efficiency, you’ll reduce energy costs while adding significant value to your home, all at a fraction of the price of a full extension. Whether you’re looking to create a cozy family space, a home office, or a dining area, an Eco Roof is a cost-effective way to upgrade your conservatory into a beautiful, functional living space.
Traditional conservatories often suffer from poor thermal insulation due to their glass or polycarbonate roofs, which offer little protection against extreme temperatures. In winter, heat quickly escapes through the thin, uninsulated roofing, leaving the space cold and uninviting. Conversely, in summer, these materials allow the sun’s heat to build up rapidly, turning the conservatory into an overheated, uncomfortable greenhouse. With no effective temperature regulation, traditional conservatories become unusable for much of the year, making them a wasted space rather than a functional part of the home.
The solution is an Guardian Warm Roof, a fully insulated, thermally efficient roofing system designed to regulate temperature and make your conservatory comfortable all year round. By replacing outdated glass or polycarbonate with a solid, energy-efficient roof, heat loss in winter is significantly reduced, while in summer, the roof reflects excess heat, keeping the space cool and pleasant. This transformation not only enhances thermal performance but also improves sound insulation, aesthetics, and energy efficiency, turning your conservatory into a practical, stylish, and cost-effective extension of your home.
The industry-leading design of our roofs means it is typically lighter but stronger than the glazed or polycarbonate roof it replaces.
Each component of the carefully engineered build up serves to ensure your new roof is well ventilated and thermally efficient, whilst also providing you with a beautifully finished space inside and out, in keeping with your home’s aesthetic.
Achieving industry-leading thermal properties (U-value of 0.15 W/m²K), our warm roof system provides superior insulation. The effects can be seen in the thermal camera images. Traditional glass and polycarbonate roofs register as warm, demonstrating a waste of heat to the outside. The Eco Roof surface remains cold illustrating that heat is retained within the building, keeping your conservatory comfortable year-round while reducing energy costs.
Slate eco roofing is an innovative roofing system that features the aesthetic appeal of natural slate without the risk of cracking and breaking. It has also been independently fire and weather tested by the BRE.
Each colour has been tested to high UV exposure and exhibits virtually no fade and with no trace of cracking or splitting. This versatile option will keep your roof looking it’s best for years to come.
Shingle is an alternative finish to slate that can be applied to your Eco Roof. Esprit Shingle is made from lightweight, high-grade steel with Aluzinc® coating for incredible strength and resistance. The tiles feature a unique ‘hidden fix’ system that leaves no nails exposed to corrosion, ensuring the longevity of your roof.
